Facility Charge: New families will be billed $300 per year for the first two years enrolled and $150 per year thereafter. Only one facility charge will be assessed per family per year.
Application/Testing Fees: (new students only) Preschool $85; K-12 $140 New students pay this fee when they apply, and the annual registration fee when accepted for enrollment.
2010/2011 Financial Policies and Payment Plans
- For re-enrolling families, their account must be completely paid current at the time of enrollment and they must re-enroll between February 8th and February 12th. (After this time, any classroom vacancies will be offered on a first-come first served basis to any re-enrolling or new student who submits complete registration packets and fees.)
- Registration fees are due at the time the re-enrollment forms are submitted.
- You may choose one of the following options for paying tuition, supply fees, and facility charges:
- One payment due on June 1st or at the time of enrollment if after June 1st.
- Two equal payments due on June 1st and December 1st.
- Twelve equal payments June through May.
- May 31st is the cut-off date for a family to withdraw without being responsible for tuition and facility charges for the coming school year.
- Families withdrawing after May 31st and up to the end of the first marking period are responsible for 25% (1/4) of tuition and facility charge.
- Families withdrawing during the 2nd marking period are responsible for 50% (1/2) of these charges.
- Families withdrawing during the 3rd marking period are responsible for 75% (3/4) of these charges.
- Families withdrawing during the 4th marking period are responsible for 100% (full) of these charges.
- If a family withdraws or cancels enrollment after May 31, the full supply fee is charged.
- Families enrolling after June 1 will be billed based on the number of quarters remaining in the school year. If enrolled after June 1, but before the end of the first grading period, the full annual tuition, supply fee, and facility charge will be billed. If enrolling during the second grading period, 75% of the tuition and facility charge and the full supply fee will be billed. If enrolling during the third grading period, 50% of the tuition and facility charge and the full supply fee will be billed. If enrolling during the fourth grading period, 25% of the tuition and facility charge and the full supply fee will be billed.
- Payments are due on the 1st of each month. A late payment fee of $30 will be added for payments received after the tenth of each month. A student becomes ineligible to attend school when his/her account falls more than 30 days past due. Payment by bank draft is available. See the GCS website or the Business Office for a form.
- The supply fee pays for the following items: class shirt (PS, K, ES), field trips (PS, K, ES), yearbook (K-12), all students: book rental, student insurance, Activity/Parent Club fee, student and teacher curriculum, teaching aids, P.E. equipment, art supplies, drama, chorus, science lab supplies, computer fees, standardized tests, classroom and office furnishings, etc. Band (5th -12th) is $185 per year, and Advanced Placement courses are $190 each. (The AP fee includes the fees for the College Board exam) Additional fees parents may be asked to pay are those used to cover replacement costs for items issued to a student, but not returned to GCS or returned in disrepair, and fees for certain classes at the secondary level that require special materials. Some co-curricular clubs may also charge dues, as determined by each group. [AP class and band charges are billed after class rosters are confirmed. These fees will be billed on your tuition statement monthly after classes begin.]
- Facility Charges are assessed to defray the bank loan and costs associated with the new campus construction.
- Application fees, registration fees and supply fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and payable in full regardless of the portion of the school year the student is enrolled.
- Before and After School Care charges are billed September through May. Students using after school care on a regular basis are billed a flat fee per month that is based on the total number of days for the year divided evenly over 9 months. - Full-time ordained ministers may receive a 25% reduction in tuition if an application is filled out and submitted by May 1, 2010. Applications may be obtained from the Business Office.
- All applications for financial aid must be received by May 1, 2010. Applications are available in the Business Office. Students must be enrolled for the 2010-2011 year before applying for financial aid.
