Carrie Bailey, Admissions Director

Carrie Breyare Bailey has been employed with Gaston Christian School for 9 years. She has served as After School Care worker and Director, Office support, Financial Secretary, and Purchasing Agent.

She has been married to Darrell Bailey for 21 years. They have two daughters, Chelsea a 2010 graduate of Gaston Christian School, and Cassidy, a 10th grader. Both girls have attended Gaston Christian since 4-year-old preschool. She spends any spare time she has serving in her home church of Grace Baptist, Mt. Holly, shopping with her girls, and relaxing at the beach!

Carrie has a degree in Marketing and Business and enjoys telling prospective families about the wonderful opportunities available at Gaston Christian.

Tom Hawxwell, Athletic Director

Tom Hawxwell has been at Gaston Christian School since 2004. His responsibilities have included teaching P.E., Summer Camp Director, and Jr. Eagles Youth Sports Director. He received his B.S. from Liberty University in Sports Management. After completing his degree, he went on to be a Sports Coordinator at the West Orange YMCA in Orlando, Florida. Before coming to GCS, he served for three years as a Camp Director in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

He and his wife Amy, who also teaches at Gaston Christian School, have two sons, Dakota and Colin.

Nancy Roach, Business Manager

Nancy Roach has served as Business Manager since 1997. She graduated from Isothermal College and is certified in Rehabilitation Administration by Auburn University. She has served in a similar capacity with private non-profit organizations for more than thirty years.

Her husband, Doug, is regional sales and service representative for Leggett and Platt. They have four children: Bethany Frazier and husband Matt live in Hendersonville, NC; Phillip and his wife Amanda also live in Hendersonville; Susannah is a senior at Montreat College; Sam is a senior at Gaston Christian.

She is an active member of Crowders Creek ARP, where she serves as treasurer and participates in adult choir.
