Guidance

At Gaston Christian School, our guidance counselors are available for a wide range of services.  Our guidance counselors take a developmental perspective and are able to focus on each of the school’s age groups.

Gaston Christian School is also fortunate to have a full-time college counselor who works with students and their parents to begin the college process.

It is an honor to serve Gaston Christian School as Middle School Guidance Counselor.  It is my prayer that our students grow emotionally as well as spiritually and academically.  In order to aid their development, I am available to meet with students individually as needed.  In addition to individual sessions, I also periodically teach guidance lessons in all Bible classes.

I received a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Winthrop University, as well as a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from The University of South Carolina.  I have been married to my wonderful husband for 22 years.  We have two children; Joseph who is an alumnus of GCS and currently a sophomore at North Greenville University, and Kathryn who will graduate from GCS in May 2011.  The newest addition to our family is Bama, a 3 month old toy poodle.
