Q: What is an average class size?

A: While each class may vary, our goal is that no class exceeds 24 students. Middle School and High School core classes may have as many as 24 students, AP classes may have as few as six.

Q: What are the school hours?

A: PK3: 8:30- 11:35 Half Day class (Three day class offered on Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

PK4: 8:30-11:45 Half Day class (Three day class offered on Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Kindergarten Half Day-8:15am until 12 noon

Kindergarten Full Day-8:15am-2:10pm

Grades 1, 2, and 3-8:15 am-2:20pm

Grades 4 and 5-8:15am-2:40pm

Middle school and High School-7:45am-3pm

Q: How old does my child have to be in order to be enrolled at Gaston Christian School?

A: The child must be 5 prior to August 31 to enter our Kindergarten program. No exceptions.

A preschool student must be 3 or 4 before the August 31 deadline to enter Preschool. No exceptions.

Q: Do you offer summer programs?

A: We have an extensive list of summer offerings. Our Camp Eagle is a wonderful Day camp held here on campus for grades K-5. Access our day camp link for more details.

Q: Do you take students mid-year?

A: Gaston Christian School has rolling admissions, meaning we accept applications throughout the year, if there are openings. It is difficult, however. for Middle and High School students on a block schedule to move to our format in mid-year. Each situation is carefully and prayerfully evaluated by both admissions and principals.

Q: Does Gaston Christian offer extended care?

A: Yes, we offer Before School Care for grades PK -5 beginning at 7:15am.

We offer After School Care for grades PK- 8th until 6pm. For more details refer to the Tuition rates and fees.

Q: What is the cost of tuition?

A: The tuition rates for 2012-2013 are below.

Preschool-5 day-$2700 annually

Half day Kindergarten-$3470 annually

Full Day Kindergarten-$4720 annually

Elementary-$4720 annually

Middle School-$5935 annually

High School-$6390 annually

Q: How do I schedule a campus tour?

A: Call the Admissions Office at 704-824-4128 or stop in any Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until 11a.m.  for a “Walk in Wednesday” tour-no appointment necessary.  If Wednesday mornings are not convenient, we will be glad to show you our campus at a time that works within your schedule.

Q: Do Gaston Christian Students wear uniforms?

A: Our students are not required to wear uniforms, however, we have a dress code that emphasizes a clean, neat, and modest appearance.

Q: How do I start the application process?

A: Submit a completed application packet for your child’s grade level, along with the application /testing fee. Once the completed packet is received, we will contact you to move forward with the process.
