The Gaston Christian Booster Club is an organization of parents from all grade levels whose purpose is supporting all aspects of athletics at Gaston Christian School.
Each Gaston Christian family is encouraged to join the Eagles Booster Club and become involved in its events and activities throughout the school year.

Dear Friends of Gaston Christian School,
It is truly a privilege to be part of Gaston Christian School. Our year is off to a great start and by all reports, it seems that we are fulfilling our theme of being “Here to Love, Here to Serve.”
The purpose of this letter is to share some information about the upcoming Annual Fund Drive and invite you to our first Annual Fund Banquet on November 6, 2010 at 7:00PM. The Annual Fund Drive is designed to supplement the school by providing additional funding for specific areas of need or projects. This year we have dedicated 50% of the Annual Fund gifts to be used to fund financial aid scholarships. In addition, 25% will be used to establish a fund to assist our teachers in completing advanced degrees in their field of study. Lastly, the remaining 25% will be used for capital improvements. Many schools use the proceeds from the annual fund to cover operating expenses; however, we have chosen to designate your gifts to these three specific areas.
Our goal for the 2010-11 Annual Fund Drive is $200,000. If we reach our goal, this will result in $100,000 for financial aid scholarships, $50,000 for advanced degrees for the teachers, and $50,000 for capital improvements. As you can imagine, this will have profound effect on our ability to do some great things at Gaston Christian School. If each family makes a $500 donation to the Annual Fund Drive, we can reach our goal. For some of you, it may be difficult to do this at the present time. You could make a pledge for the $500 and pay it over several months, or you may want to make a smaller gift of maybe $250 or $100. Recently in church I heard a pastor say, “You can’t do everything; but you can do something.” Please consider the effects that your gift will have on our school. Many families that otherwise would not be able to attend GCS will be assisted. Our teachers will be able to provide more expertise for your students, and we will be able to continue our efforts to make GCS the best looking campus in our area.
On November 6, we will have our first Annual Fund Banquet to kick off the campaign. Our guest speaker will be nationally recognized comedian Kenn Kington. Kenn’s ministry of comedy fulfills the verse that says “laughter is good medicine.” As the father of four children who all attend a Christian school, Kenn can relate well to your family. We have set the price of the tickets for the banquet at $20.00 per person; childcare will also be available. Please RSVP to Debra Brown (dbrown@gastonchristian.org) with the number attending the banquet and number of children who will need childcare. Please submit payment for banquet by Friday, October 22. This evening will be a great time to have a fun night out with your spouse; you may even want to consider sponsoring a table for ten for $200.00 and inviting friends to come. Furthermore, please consider sponsoring a faculty member and their spouse.
Lastly, please be in prayer about your gift to the Annual Fund Drive. We look forward with great anticipation to see what God will do through each of you for the students at Gaston Christian School. Galatians 6:10 says, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Your gift will further the great work that began here over thirty years ago. May God richly bless you and your family as you seek to honor Him.
