What happens when you invite your friends to stay with you for a month at your Italian villa? Romance, deception, and a battle of wits of course! In our Regency-era version of William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy, Much Ado about Nothing, the innocent Hero becomes the victim of lies spread by the infamous Gianna, Don Pedro’s jealous sister. Everyone takes sides including Beatrice and Benedick, enemies in a perpetual war of wit, who are tricked into falling in love by their friends, Don Pedro, Leonata, and Claudio. Will Hero be vindicated? Will Claudio marry the woman of his dreams? Will Benedick and Beatrice end up at the altar themselves? Or will they all find themselves making “much ado about nothing?” We hope you’ll be in our audience to find out!
